Secondhand Clothing Pool

Waverley College’s Secondhand Clothing Pool is coordinated by the Waverley College Parents’ Association and staffed by volunteers.

The Secondhand Clothing Pool sells quality pre-owned garments priced at around half the price of new garments. It operates solely on the generous donations by our families of out-grown and unused uniform items. These include good quality blazers, shirts, shorts and trousers, jumpers, sports uniform items as well as bags, football boots, black shoes and sports shoes. All should be wearable and clean.

Blazers and Waverley jackets in excellent condition are the only items for which there is a ‘buy-back’ scheme: a small fee of $30 may be paid by the Secondhand Clothing Pool for the donation of these items.

Where May I Leave Donations?

All donations are appreciated and may be left at the Waverley College Senior School campus Reception in the designated Secondhand Clothing Pool donation box. (If leaving Blazers and All Weather Jackets, please include name and phone number inside the bag, and we will contact you to arrange ‘buy-back.’)

Proceeds from the sale of all garments are donated straight back to the College and its students through the Parents’ Association, assisting the school with purchases of things such as new classroom equipment, microphones or projectors for the PAC, etc. At the same time, donations provide a great opportunity to the Waverley community to purchase uniform items at a lower cost than new items.

Volunteering

The Secondhand Clothing Pool is run by the Parents’ Association and volunteers will be sought again once stock levels increase to assist in the running of the shop with regular opening hours. Volunteering is a great way to meet other parents and help raise funds for the College.

Please contact the Secondhand Clothing Pool  Coordinators Kirsten Hott or Camille Owen for further information.
