Music

The music program at Waverley College Junior School is extensive and varied. The boys have two music lessons timetabled into their weekly programme as well as the opportunity to be involved in more intensive programmes including:

• The Junior School String Ensemble
• The Junior School Concert Band
• A dedicated Percussion Group
• Cantores
• Junior School Choir

Each class in the Junior School are involved in a general instrumental program.

• Year 5 - Strings
• Year 6 - Brass

The boys are also given the opportunity to have private music lessons of the instrument of their own choice including:

• Guitar
• Drums
• Piano
• Violin
• Trumpet
• Saxophone

The Performing Arts Centre located on the Senior School Campus not only allows a venue for practice but also enables us to conduct a number of wonderful performances throughout the year including the:

1. College Music Festival (usually held in June)
2. Junior Music Festival (usually held in November)
