Studies of Religion I promotes an awareness, understanding and application of the nature of religion and the influence of religious traditions, beliefs and practices on individuals and society, with an emphasis on the Australian context.
Course Content
- Nature of Religion and Beliefs
- Two Religious Tradition Studies: Christianity and one other selected from Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism. Each Tradition Study covers: Origins, Principal Beliefs, Sacred Texts and Writings, Core Ethical Teachings, Personal Devotion.
