HSC 2U English (Standard)
Students study at least two units of English in Year 12. They study Standard or Advanced English. In addition to Advanced, the Extension 1 course may be undertaken. In addition to the Extension 1 course, the Extension 2 course may be taken.
In the HSC English (Standard) course, students reflect on and demonstrate the effectiveness of texts for different audiences and purposes.

Assessment Information
Students will be assessed internally on a range of skills including speaking, prepared and unseen writing tasks, the collation of research materials, as well as examination tasks. Externally, this course is examined by the Board of Studies in two, two-hour papers.
