2009/2010 Swim School Enrolment Form

Important Season Dates Summer 2009-2010

  • Monday, 19th October 2009 (Term 4): Season commences
  • Monday, 21st December 2009 - Sunday, 3rd January 2010: Christmas recess
  • 4th -22nd January: 8.00am Junior & Senior squads (no afternoon sessions)
  • 4th -22nd January: Intensive Swim Lessons
  • Monday, 25th January 2010: Normal afternoon classes & squads recommence
  • Saturday, 3rd April 2010: Last day of classes for the season

Enrolment

Enrolment for all learn to swim or squad training may be completed at the Waverley College Aquatic Centre, commencing Monday 19 October during the following times:

  • Monday - Friday: 3.30pm - 5.00pm
  • Saturday: 8.30am - 10.30am

or by phoning the Swim School on 9369 0714.

Please note: Your child will generally need to undertake a swimming capability assessment upon enrolment.

Student Swimming Programs

LEARN-TO-SWIM: For pre-school aged children and older (4 years +) who are learning to swim. $27.00 per lesson, with the whole term being paid in advance. Progress is assured with a maximum of 3 students per teacher.Learn-to-swim: Saturdays only from 8.30am

TADPOLES: For children developing proficiency in all strokes. Levels of endurance are challenged as they prepare for Mini-Squad. $22.00 per lesson for 1 lesson per week or $16.00 per lesson for 2 or more lessons per week. Class maximum of 10 students.
Tadpoles (30 minutes): Monday - Friday: 3.30pm, 4.00pm, 4.30pm, 5.00pm

MINI-SQUAD: For swimmers displaying proficiency in freestyle, backstroke & breaststroke, are capable of demonstrating basic drills and have sufficient technique and endurance to swim for 45 minutes. They will also start to learn butterfly. $85.00 per month for 2 sessions per week, $95.00 for 3 sessions per week, $105.00 for 4 or more sessions a week. Class maximum of 20 students. Mini-Squad: Monday - Friday: 3.30 - 4.15pm, 4.15 - 5.00pm, 5.00 - 5.45pm

JUNIOR & SENIOR SQUADS: For swimmers wishing to improve their endurance and can swim for at least 60 minutes. 1 child in squad - $95.00 / calendar month; 2 children in squads - $170.00 / calendar month; 3 or more children in squads - $235.00 / calendar month. Later sessions may become available to cater for demand. Junior and Senior Squads: Monday - Friday: 3.30 - 4.30pm, 3.30 - 5.00pm

Adult Program

ADULT SQUAD: For Surf, Masters and Triathlon competitors and those wishing to keep fit. $95.00 per month (5 sessions a week) or $10.00 per session. Adult Squad: Monday and Wednesday: 5.00 - 6.00pm, 6.00 - 7.00pm

Adult Learn-to-Swim, Stroke Correction and those new to squad swimming: Please contact the Eastern Suburbs Community College on 9387-7400 for bookings. Midweek and weekend classes available.

Pool Hire

The Swim Pool and Diving Pool are available for external hire for swimming school carnivals or other events at very reasonable rates. Please contact Rosanna Stamatellis on 9369 0623 for full details.
