Our Mission

The Waverley College Mission

As a Catholic College for boys in Years 5-12, our mission is to empower students to reach their full potential and contribute to society. We achieve this by:

  • Inspiring individualised learning through a holistic education
  • Nurturing student strengths through diverse spiritual, intellectual, and creative pursuits
  • Valuing academic excellence and community partnerships

Our graduates become enterprising global citizens who promote equality, equity, and social justice, reflecting our motto: "Virtus Sola Nobilitat" – 'Virtue is its own reward'.

Our Values

Edmund Rice Tradition

As a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice Tradition, we aspire to be faithful to these four touchstones:

Prayer and spiritual life have been central to Waverley College since its founding in 1904. The College community comes together regularly for liturgies, House Masses, and special celebrations, nurturing the faith life of students across all year levels.

Students also participate in retreats and immersive experiences that encourage reflection, spiritual growth, and leadership. From introductory retreats for younger students to senior service immersions, each boy engages in opportunities to explore faith, courage, and personal development within the supportive Waverley community.
