Parents' Association

A Connected Parent Community

The Parents' Association fosters a sense of community at Waverley College by creating a welcoming environment for parents to connect, socialise, and get involved. We also raise funds to benefit our children, provide a platform for discussion on key issues, and represent parents' interests while partnering with the College to deliver a high-quality Catholic education in the Edmund Rice tradition.

Parents' Association Contributions

The Waverley College Parents’ Association plays an important role in supporting the College through funding initiatives that enhance facilities, student experience and community life. Through fundraising events, the second-hand uniform shop and the generous support of parent volunteers, the Association is proud to contribute to projects that directly benefit our students.

Major Commitments and Contributions

  • Senior School Toilet Block Pledge - A commitment of $100,000 per year over five years towards the construction of a new toilet block, with funds already set aside to support the project as it progresses.
  • Fairy Lights Installation - $30,000 contributed towards the purchase and installation of the fairy lights in the tree outside the College Gym, enhancing the campus environment for community events.
  • Second-Hand Uniform Shop - Ongoing fundraising initiative returning significant funds to the College each year, while also supporting sustainability and affordability for families.
  • Second-Hand Uniform Legacy Fund - Annual financial support to provide uniforms for students in need.
  • Community and Event Support - Contributions to College events including gala dinners, welcome events and community initiatives.
  • Thank You Teacher Campaign - Supporting staff appreciation initiatives, including the annual thank you lunch.
